India's poor are poorer and India's rich are richer. The gap widening them is wider than the mighty Ganges that flows through it. While rich can afford to buy villas and apartments with 4/5 Bedrooms, private garden, private swimming pool; its poor can't even afford to rent a decent house. In a free democratic economy like India this gap does mean that when the number of rich increases the number of poor also increases by two-fold.
This picture shows a small family of three living in a single room with not even a re-inforced roof over their head. This kid doesn't have any playmates to be with, his mother doesn't have enough resources to live with, his father doesn't have a decent earning job to run the family....
